Summer, what was the average temp for February then?
2011-2012 Accumulating Snow and Ice
October 29: 3.0 inches
January 21 - 3.1 inches
February 8 - 0.75 inches
February 11 - 0.5 Inches
Total to-date - 7.4 inches
Lowest temperature -- January 4: 10 F

summer, thats sad that we have (-) number so far for overall temp and it has been horrible winter for snow. If i recall temp went down on Jan15th.

Believe it or not that -7.1 would only put us in top 15 since records being kept. That still is not bad considering the records go back almost 140 years.

There have been some COLD Februaries...wasn't the lowest-recorded temp. in NYC on a February day? I think it was -15 on 2/9/1934. I think that's one record that won't be broken anytime soon, lol.

Hard to believe how far back we have come after the first couple of weeks of January where temps where almost +20.00 degrees...unheard of...
