I have a hard time buying Baltimore as normal as it was really hot down there this month. In NJ that looks about right as we've been quite warm for most of July.

Those numbers are going to rise steadily the rest of the month -- mostly due to higher overnight minimums. Tropical airmass headed up the east coast with dew points in the lower 70's. NWS has finally upped their fcst highs to the 87-90F range Wednesday-Friday for most of NJ -- coupled with oppressive humidity levels, it'll definitely feel like a heat wave. Still a complicated forecast through the end of July as the ULL retrogrades then proceeds to "fill out" into another minor trough by the weekend. What this basically means is temps are going to held in check upper 80's/low 90's rather than well over 90F. Slightly cooler but even more humid on Long Island.

Those temps will rise but it does not include today which was way below normal. I thought Baltimore and Philly were a little out of wack.
