Very interesting aquall line over eastern PA. Some cells are moving southeast while others are moving northeast. I don't know whether this is indicative of the tornadic threat but there are individual cells not far from each other moving in different directions.

Look at the one moving into SI. Just above it has connected with another cell and where they joined there's another blotch of red has grown. I wonder if that one could produce a tornado?

Belividere NJ and western Morris County may indeed get a tornado. Classic radar signature. Watch these storms as new ones pop up and older ones evolve. Looks like a very dynamic situation with an upper level low passing through just as we enter maximum daytime heating. These upper level lows are typically what gives our area the most severe thunderstorms.

NYBrit, some purple hues showing up on the cells about 10 miles to the west/southwest of Staten Island and moving east. Also, radar is picking up wind shear with these cells.

Getting a decent storm here but the worst is just to my south. Tornado warnings out for Harmony, Brass Castle, and the town of Washington. Big heavy rain drops, almost sounded like hail it was so loud.

The cells heading toward Staten Island do have mesocyclone identifications according to Accuweather PRO. BE CAREFUL!! These are very dangerous storms.

Lab, the current batch of severe cells will miss us to the south. Some area of Morris County, Essex County, and over to NYC Metro will get hammered with these cells.

This is actually getting scary there are several cells coming right at us if you look at the radar there is even a small cell to the south taking a run at us!

Wow - sky is pitch black right now. Amazing hook signature to those two cells in north/central NJ - radar velocity indicates converging winds around the Edison/New Brunswick area. That supercell is headed towards northern Monmouth county -- Icehater may be missing out here.
