henry m over at accuweather has been hinting at this for the past week....u def should not take this guy seriously cuz of his wishcasting, but he def nailed this one...if you look at the pattern the past couple weeks, lows have been getting enhanced everytime they hit the coast

Sorry but he didn't nail anything yet. Even if he does on this one, it's only because he sings the same tune for 100 events. If you repeat the same line forever, eventually one comes in.

You nail something when the event is completed and verifies not 24-36 hours before it starts. For the rest - I couldn't agree more with Robbbs comments.

I haven't said anything about this storm until this morning. All I said in the past is mid November snow in NYC is a very rare and hence unlikely occurrence. Sorry - but I don't give verification credit, and most particularly to a guy like Henry who forecasts snow at every opportunity, until after an event occurs.

Here we go with the false accusations again. All Ice said yesterday was accumulating snow is unlikely in the city at this time of year - I agreed with him - and that still looks to be the case. Anyone looking for accumulating snow more than a coating is going to be disappointed in the end game (for the coast). Flakes in the air? Possibly. Accumulating snow? Not likely.
12z NAM taken verbatim is virtually all rain even for Allentown PA. 12Z GFS has trended way north of the NAM and now puts interior southern new england in the game. It also would be rain for NYC metro.
Like I said in the other thread - we're going to need until 00z tonight to iron this out. Models are still all over the map with regards to placement of precip and temperatures. However, either way, I think the poconos and higher elevations of NW NJ are looking good for a 1-3"/2-4" event -- potentially advisory criteria.
