That low is definitely getting together right off the SC coast right now. I do believe THAT is our Nor'Easter.

What would make you say that? I think it's quite the opposite.

Why? look at its position..thats coming due north and fast..not a northeast movement that the coasties need right now...
I think think 2-5" is a good estimate for the coasties and the city...but i thought 5-10" was a good guess this morning

That's moving NE from what I can see.
And Lab, thanks, great graphic depicting the low forming there.

If you look at an animated water vapor loop you can see the distinct Northeast movement.

Sure looks like it has a northeast tilt to me.

The variables are starting to fall into place. Enjoy the ride from here and out. I hope it's a whopper of a snowstorm for us.

I think by far this is the best news yet!!!! that low developing down there will keep the cold air in right?

Thats where the low was expected to form, off the SC/NC border. It will explode as it gets further north, and hooefully a good amount East to give the coast some high snow amounts.

Depends on the track still. The trajectory looks like it will be slightly farther off the coast, enough that some of the coastal sections could definitely see more snow than is forecast now

Not true, it's a little farther south than was expected by the models

I maybe wrong but if you look at a us radar loop, the upper level low that is back to the north of alabama will catch up to the low thats forming off the the southeast coast and act to energize it and turn it more north/northeast up the coast. ;D

Which is a good thing for snow fans, right? It will allow the cold air to stay in place longer?
