Here's November -- chilly month in the Northeast, warm elsewhere:

December -- cold Mid-west, a bit below normal in the Northeast down to Philly:

January - solidly warmer than normal in the NE (+4 to +5 range). Normal/chilly mid-west.

February to date -- more of the same -- cold mid-west / intermountain region. Very warm east coast. However, I believe the departures you see now will be MUCH LOWER BY THE END OF THE MONTH.

Alaska -- sorry don't have maps, but I've got the numbers.

Anchorage:

January was -2.7, well below normal.
December was +0.5, essentially normal.
November was +8.8, blowtorch. Makes sense considering that was our coldest month in the East.

Storm,
Your the best - thanks - my friends in the midwest and I love to chat about these maps - the brutal cold in North Dakota in Feb is readily apparent in this map
Thanks again

No problem.

Summer, looks like the same old pattern through Feb 20th -- series of arctic shots into the Northeast, interspersed with Lakes-cutters and cold rains. However, below normal temperatures should be the rule for the most part -- knocking down those +4 departures currently in the NE. My forecast range for Feb in NYC was +2 to +4, so everything appears to be on track right now, but I wish we'd get a 12"+ snowstorm on the coast.

I hope March and April are warm months, without any retaliation from mother nature.
