Just mentioned possible snowstorm Wednesday-Thursday.
I don't want to jinx it... I just want something to look forward to!

Yep - he mentioned it on his 12 o'clock segment - perhaps he is trying to pull one out of thin air?

Bill doesn't pull them out of thin air. He is one of the more accurate, sensible mets in the area. When Bill says something like that, there's reason for optimism. Did anyone else hear him say this?

6z GFS had something in the 140-180 hour period...A nice period of snow and then Sleet/Snow...

BUT, 12z GFS took it away and makes it 2 straight LAKES CUTTERS..

0z Euro had a similar thing as 6z GFS...We await the 12z EURO...A couple of other models also had it last night.

I FULLY expect the 12z Euro to show a lakes cutter...If not the 12z, then the 0z later tonight.

No, he certainly does not pull them out of thin air. His record is pretty accurate when he says "possible snowstorm" 5 days out.
His words were "we are watching a possible snowstorm Wednesday into Thursday"

I agree however he also at one point was saying something about this Sunday night event possibly being something significant in the way of snow. Obviously he wasn't making a forecast or anything but the point is even he might be starting to reach a little as winter starts to wind down. There is no reason in the world to expect anything other than lake cutters at this point. Realistically we have about 5 weeks left to get lucky.

AW shows that there will be a storm in the mid-section of the country and cold air in place in the NE. So, I guess, if 47 variables fall into place - maybe we can get something. Given this winter so far, none of us will be holding our breath.
