Brian Bruney looks so different. Long hair, skinnier, lol. Hughes was great though, the 2 runs really weren't his fault. It looks like Girardi will go with Joba, and I wonder how long he will let him go. Its kinda sad to not have Bob Sheppard announce these games over the PA.

Bob is a legend. He will be 98 in October. Its amazing how he announced Dimaggio, Mantle and so many other greats. 98 years and still working. I will never forget going to a Yankee games as a little kid and hearing his voice. BTW- Jeter has a recording of Sheppard announced for him when he bats. Please don't show up the other team again Joba, there is no need for it.

YANKEES WIN! Mo didn't get 2 saves untill May 3rd last year, he has 2 now on April 3rd! The Tampa Bay Rays come in for the weekend. It looks like tommorows game will be rained out though.

I don't think they will get the game in tomorrow. The Rays will be tough this year and I think they will come in 3rd

That was like strike 5!! The first 4 pitches of the at bat ALL looked like strikes. I couldn't believe the ump wasn't giving it to him. Tomas cant take that with 2 strikes, he deserved to get thrown out for arguing balls and strikes. Oy yea Jete was safe at 1st on that bunt in the 8th.

The local forecasters just metioned that we could get a 7-10 pm dryslot or at least a little break tommorow night. Yankee stadium drains rather well. That would be great, to get the game in, but I doubt it. TWC metions the potential of the rain being lighter around gametime.

I know Bob said he wanted to work PA at the new Yankees Stadium. I have noticed that anytime someone fills in for him they try to mimic his delivery. There is now, ever was and ever will be one Bob Sheppard. We don't need anyone else trying to sound like him.

As for Joba, he in no way was showing up anybody. He's an emotional kid. He was excited over the situation, not rubbing anything in. As Frank Thomas said, if he didn't want Joba to do that he should have hit the ball. Have we really become so pussified in this country that now we can't even express joy because someone else might be offended?
