Coastal low is slightly further east. Hope is that it forms faster and further east to shut off the upper air warmth. All this precip right now is only over-running related. South Jersey / Delaware precip has already stopped. The coastal has yet to even form. We have a long way to go yet.

Robbbs - 13 degrees and you can't buy a snowstorm! Amazing. Watch us get wet snow and 32 next week. As I said - I'd kill to have thees temps in a snowstorm. I'm now at 20.3. If that coastal would bomb and track NE we'd go from a sleet/freezing rain situation to a raging blizzard. I hope this shows everyone that it's all about TRACK. Remember that elevation 10-15" snowstorm you got with 32-34 degree temps a few years ago. No cold air but great track. Now we have arctic air and no track.

Models can make slight error on the track right? Well, i hope they did. If lows shifts 50 miles more east and everybody in NJ is under snow.

Ice, it's 11.9 now and snowing but it's just a matter of time before the change-over. Nick Stefano just called me -- he has a temp of 9 in Wantage with snow but thinks it's starting to mix (at 9 DEGREES). Sick.

Robbbs - did you see my earlier post. In the great Quebec ice storm they had freezing rain with single digit temps. On a national Geographic show I saw they noted 9 degrees with rain in Montreal during that storm. But there was also freezing rain well NW of Montreal. I'll bet there were some places with rain at 5 degrees. Weather can be amazing.

Ice or Robbs,
When will the second low take over. Is it going to be sleet through out the durationg of the night here in Northern Ocean county, or will it change to just rain.

No rain on the 00z NAM from inland Monmouth northward. NYC's highest temp is 31, PHL and TTN never make it past 30 degrees. Will post soundings in a minute. Ice fest for all.
