Big ice and sleet event overnight. Precip will get heavier again towards morning. The best news for snow lovers is the backlash snows that should affect everyone tomorrow. White-out conditions are possible (probable?) and a solid 4" to 8" of snow is in the cards for most of us. That amount of snow, plus coming on top of a lot of ice, translates to a big storm for us this winter.

It's all dependent on exactly where the secondary low bombs. 00z data is a bit further east with the low sitting literally 50 miles east of Belmar. Any further east and we may be talking a widespread 4"+ on the backlash as robbbs stated. However -- right now looks like mainly icing for the I-95 corridor, brief raiin if any, then back to hvy snow for a couple hrs. Vertical velocities are unbelievable tomorrow afternoon -- talk about a crash in 850mb temps. Winds will be blowing past 50mph along the NJ shore tomorrow regardless of snow. Very interestin nowcast.
Temp up a degree to 22 last hour here. Precip should fill in rapidly by 4-7am.
