Ill bet you the Giants finish 9-7 or less this year. They caught ligtning in a bottle last year, similar to the 05-06 Steelers who didn't even make the playoffs the next year. I'd say the Giants are maybe in the top 10.
Go Yankees, Jets, and NY Rangers!

how do you figure? defenses win games and thats what we have. weve HAD a good defense the past 2years and its only been getting better. #1 defense in the league is not lightning in a bottle to me.

The Giants defense showed us how streaky they can be in allowing 80 points in the first 2 games of the season last year. Plus the Giants will have a tougher sked this year, but congrats on winning the SB.

That wouldn't totally shock me. A lot of teams that go on unexpected postseason runs fall back to Earth the next season. The big exception is the '01 Patriots, who parlayed their upset of the Rams into two more championships in the next three years.

not sure the steelers caught lightning, sure they wnet 8-8 the next year but befor and after that their mass of playoffs/sb games are top in the league. that 8-8 record wasn't half bad either considering losing bettis from the prior year, qb and other injuries hurt them bad too.

Roethlisberger killed them that year (23 picks I think), especially in the 1st half of the season when he was still recovering from his injuries from the motorcycle accident. Then he had his appendix taken out if I remember correctly. They were snakebitten that season, but they finished strong, going 6-2 in the 2nd half.

Vegas came out with their over unders, and the Giants are expected to be a .500 like I believe they will be. Here are the money lines for the NY teams (excluding the Buffalo Bills).

GIANTS 8.5 OVER -130 UNDER +110

JETS 7.5 OVER -150 UNDER +130

They may know a little bit more than you do. Don't count on the Giants making another run.
