Just had a pretty nasty hail event. Lasted only 5 minutes but really came down. Very changeable day -- bright sunshine one moment, and pouring rain the next. Peak wind gust so far was 30 mph, current temp is 50.5.

We had the same. It looked more like sleet though. Dont you need T-Storm conditions to get hail. This was far from T-storm type weather.

Could it have been graupel? I think that's more of a winter thing while hail more of a summer. Since this is an upper level low and not a t-storm, you'd expect more winter type precip.

It's now 61 degrees with partly cloudy skies. I remembered twice during brief periods of the day we had heavy downpours, gusty winds and clouds. Now it's sunny.
