Rain/Snow Line Over The Ocean Seems to Be Pushing South

Check the national radar.  It appears that the development of the storm to the south maybe pushing colder air into the system just off the southern NJ coast.

It's still producing sleet though.  Places in the snow on the radar are really seeing sleet and freezing rain.

I think that LI is just going to get a ton of rain.  This storm just doesn't look good.

freak, that's the forecast for LI.  We're supposed to get heavy rain by the morning and we are wasting valuable time right now since there is a major lull in the precip.  Upstate NY is already getting pounded by snow.

guys check out the intellicast radar loop and watch how that snow line drops south through WV.  it could be bc of the increase in intensity of the precip or maybe it could be from the coastal developing? robbbs/storm/ice???

Nothing - this isn't the storm. It's just over-running from the midwest low pressure. There's no dryslot, it's just patchy precip.
