What last night's thunderstorms show is how fickle and difficult it is to forecast the location of severe storms. Even when radar shows one spot about to get pounded and another area missed, often those cells either diminish and/or new ones blow up. You just never know when/where with these storms even as they approach very close to you.

Frustrating night here Robbs. Two major lines just died as they approached us after going thru the Philly area (which got absolutely pounded). We had no rain at all but the gustfront from the storms that went west of us knocked down a lot of branches of trees and made a decent mess in my pool. So in Monmouth county we got the penalties of the storms with none of the badly needed asset we needed from them - rain.

Ice -- These things have a way of evening out over time. Last summer, many storms just missed me to my north or south. This year, I seem to be getting all of them thus far.

wfmz had viewers send in a few pics of the hail they got from there storm that hit there(allentown). This storm was moving this way but split in half then fell apart. I'm kind of glad this didn't hit here because i don't have collision or storm damage insurance on my car lol. This hail is huge it seems for this area.
. Biggest i seen was maybe pea size.

We had gusty winds here in Westchester, but little rain associated with FROPA last night. In any event being outdoors today is alot more comfortable than the previous 4 days.
