CONVECTION IS ISOLATED ACROSS ORANGE/ROCKLAND COUNTIES IN NY AS
WELL AS ADJACENT NJ COUNTIES. THERE IS ALSO SOME CONVECTION ALONG
A SEABREEZE FRONT OVER LONG ISLAND. EXPECT THESE TWO AREAS TO BE THE
MORE ACTIVE INTO THE AFTERNOON...BUT WITH MARGINAL INSTABILITY
THERE COULD BE A POP UP THUNDERSTORM ANYWHERE. IT IS WORTH
MENTIONING THAT PWAT VALUES ARE 1.5 TO 2 INCHES...SO ANY DEEP
CONVECTION HAS THE POTENTIAL TO CAUSE LOCALIZED FLOODING. COVERAGE
WILL BE LOW ENOUGH SUCH THAT HEADLINES ARE NOT NECESSARY.

Clearest skies here since Thursday. Bright sun and very warm right now. The cell near Old Bridge is waving bye bye to me.

Well back from the Pacific Northwest! Great trip and I will post fully on it tomorrow!

Flew through some big storms on the way back in PA, but dry at the takeoff and landing.

Looks like most of the rain is over for me. Ended up with just under 3/4 inch of rain. Looks like Sussex and Vervon area getting the worst. Anyone have rainfall totals for these areas?

According to Weather Underground's radar precip composite, a very small area along the Delaware Water Gap just west of Layton NJ received over 3" of rain. Another smaller area in the vecinity of Vernon received 2"+. Sussex Airport recorded 0.42". Other areas of Sussex County received far less or nothing at all.

Thanks Robbbs and Lab I just missed the heaviest in Libertyville It was just to my south. I still ended up with almost 3/4 inch today and the other day I ended up with .9 inches. I have been in a good spot this year for storms. Most years I always miss out.

Very strong CAP in place for most of the day with little in the way of CU development during the afternoon. I had brilliant sunny skies with 15-20mph SW winds; high temperature of 89.0 at 230pm.

Currently 86.4 as of 7pm.
