May play as soon as Saturday. He won't see an AB against a right handed pitcher.

How many 1st basemen do they need? I mean come on. Fill in the pitching gap first. On first they had Andy Phillips and Doug last year, but got rid of them. Plus, now they have Posada playing 1st, as well as Giambi, and Betemit. What the heck is Moellar doing for the team. He hasn't been behind the plate since Posada was out. Molina is a very good back up for Posada. Melky worries me, since can play good on the field, but not at the plate.

Remember, that they can only get what folks are making available. He became available and fills a hole. If it doesn't work out, it was an inexpensive experiment. Who knows, he could turn into last years Shelly Duncan. Flip side, I was talking to some folks in Seattle and the word is that he was cancer in the clubhouse when relegated to bench duty. I hope that was either nonsense or he simply accepts the fact that being a bench player in NY is better than a bench player in Sea.

They didn't pick Sexson as 1B. They grabbed him as a right handed bat. He has hit lefties very well and will get only occasional starts in the field when Giambi needs a rest. He will DH against all lefties.

Yankees need to keep hitting those base hits over the heads of the infielders. Those double plays are going to hurt them. What happened to Shelley? He used to be a good energetic player in the Yankees clubhouse, but recently before he was sent south, he hasn't been on point. Only thing Melky brings to the Yankees table is the defense. What the Yankees need to do, is hope Damon can come back soon, and also Matsui. If Molina gets on base, they need to have Gardner pinch run for him. Molina isn't fast at running. I am worried since the Yankees are way back in the wild card race. They used to be like 1st or 2nd in the wild card under Torre. This new manager worriers me, with the way the Yankees are playing now vs how they played with Torre and got to the post season.

At this time last year, they were 49-44, right now they are 50-45...so no big deal

Another 6+ inning 1 run or less outing for Moose. Solid win tonight, god for bid the Yanks could keep it up? Cross your fingers with this team.
