It is - and I'm not seeing any real circ. Look at this AW radar. It actually shows a thin snow band at the bottom of the mix area. Ordinarily I'd throw it out. But in a storm like this that may be local dynamic cooling in a hvy precip band.

If you look closely you can see the freezing line heading southeast, a sure sign of upper lever circ. Also the comma shape classic of a Noreaster is taking shape on the western part of the storm. It should continue to fill in as the storm winds up.

Not really. The southern end of the line is waivering around. The storm seems to be going right over cape May and is moving NNE.
