With a ULL swinging by the area, we may get a few popcorn type storms to pop up about here and there across the area.
With plenty of daylight heating, mixing with some cooler, perhaps colder air, We could get some of those storms to obtain severe category strength. Looks like some Heavy Rains, Gusty Winds, and Small Hail, are possible in those storms
For my area (KTEB), NAM shows Slight risk of severe storms, tornadoes are a NO RISK..Some Small hail possible
GFS shows a basic NO-GO for the whole severe weather threat. Tornadoes are NO RISK
And RUC shows pretty much the same thing as the GFS shows. NO RISK of tornadoes as well
IMO, I dont think that much should occur, a few pop up storms, just about it

Looks like heights are rising this afternoon with a fairly stable atmosphere. Heights may be low enough for a stray shower or thunderstorm,...but nothing of any consequences.

You guys need to specify where you are talking about. This board...this forum especially is for the NY/NJ/CT metro area and that was where I was looking for the prospect of severe wx. Upstate NY/VT/eastern New England is not part of that area.

Well I mean Just because you dont live in that certain area,
doesnt mean you have to jump the wagon and say its not part of the area, I mean Seriously, This Forum is growing rapidly and Eventually we can talk about the Whole New England Region BUT I posted something that had do with the Tri State Region of a possible Severe T-Storm Watch For CT

There is a forum for weather discussion across the US. That's why its there. I am not saying not to discuss the severe threat in New England...just make sure its in the proper forum. I am not talking about how much Darrell Rasner sucks in this forum because there is a sports forum to do that in. That's all we're saying.

Nick...Post here all day, every day...just keep it in the proper forum. Or at least say something like, "I know its not going to affect the metro area, but what do you guys think about..."

My post was not meant to be in any way sarcastic or nasty, but I tell you what -- why don't you learn the rules of this board before making silly posts such as the one above? If you want to post about other regions, do so in the US Weather Discussion area, not under the NYC Metropolitan Area weather discussion section.

And that's why they have a US weather section. The main weather board is NYC metro area. Most of New England's weather belongs in the US weather section. So the issue is not whether you can post but where is the appropriate place to post. Much of Ct is not considered NYC Metro, it's southern New England. The label on this thread would make folks that are used to this board think you are talking about a widespread event in the NYC metro area. So if you are guys are not going to post in the US weather section than the thread titles you start should be a lot more localiton specific. This is a different weather board set-up than Eastern.

Alright guys. Since this topic seems to discuss severe weather acrss New England and not specifically severe weather affected the NYC Metro area, I am going to move it out of the NYC Metropolitan Area Weather Discussion and Prediction forum and into the US Weather Discussion forum.
Generally when a post is made in this particular section without specifying an area/region, it is implied that the weather you are discussing will effect the NYC Metro area. You can do you what Jim said above ("I know its not going to affect the metro area, but what do you guys think about...") or you can feel free to post in the US Weather Discussion section.
Everyone is welcome on this board, no matter what part of the country you are located in. If the weather you are discussing in a topic is not affecting the NYC Metro area and you do not specify that, please make the topic in the US Weather Discussion forum. Thanks.

Well, seems this thread was moved to US Weather Discussions due to the storms occurring in the NE area, Thanks Brett. As i said before, nothing should have occurred here NE NJ, or the entire NYC Metro area as a whole, and that has turned out to be right. On the bright side, turned out to be a great pool day for me.
