I hope the Yankees come back in the 3rd and 4th game like how they did against the Angels. The Yankees are now 7 games back behind Tampa Bay.

Arod isn't playing 3rd base tonight, but Betemit is. He doesn't do good when taking Arod's place at 3rd. I remember this a few months ago.

Cano caught the ball before it hit the ground, and the umps said hit bounced. They granted the run since bases were loaded, then Cano argued, and Girardi came out, and then they had to keep arguing and finally they removed the run, and they had to go back to bases.
Then Ponson gave up a 2 run base hit.
2 to 0 Rangers in the bottom 2nd.

Murphey was called to run home on a throw by Abreu, and Ivan caught the ball in time, but Murphey charged into him, and both of them appears hurt. The training is checking on him.

Pudge has been taken out of the game due to his injury. Dang. Good thing Molina is a good backup catcher.
3 to 2 Yankees in the top 3rd.

5 to 3 yankees in the bottom 6th. Nice play by Nady to end the inning.
They are saying that we better hope Pudge isn't seriously hurt, cause then we might need to get someone else, or have a utility player play catcher. Moellar is good, but not that good.

Girardi just showed why is so great with a pitching staff. Marte had a rough first game against Texas. He brought him right back in a key spot against their best hitter, Josh Hamilton, with the tying run at the plate. He got the out, eliminated the bad taste in his mouth from the other night and moves on to next pitcher.
I really love the way Girardi manages pitchers.

He is very good at that. A reliever has got to be able to forget about the day before. On a similar note, nice to see Ponson bounce back against the Rangers after they pounded him a few starts ago

Now we need to get Girardi to work that magic on Arod. He has been horrible. If things don't change within a couple of weeks, you might see Nady replace him in the 4th spot for a few games.
I am guessing that Cabrera is out of the mix for a while. Lots of time for Damon in CF. DH rotation for some regulars that lets Sexton get some 1B time. Also a way to allow Irod DH and Molina to catch occasionally. Come September, with callups, Molina can catch a good deal of the time.
I love Justin Christian off the bench. He is almost a guarantee to move from first to third. He should not get many starts. he gives us exactly the kind of poison that can always beat Rivera. Damon did it alot with Boston. Steal second, steal third, then score on next play.

thats not good. Yanks need him and his bat.
Maybe he can DH for a few games. Leave Damon in CF and Melky on the bench.
