Awful news for the Mets. I don't see them getting through the playoffs with the bullpen as-is. They're gonna have to get amazing pitching from their starters if they want to go anywhere. If they can't go 7 innings (or unless the Mets have a big lead) they're screwed. Look how many games they've blown so far this season.

This will cause the Mets to go after K-Rod and Houston Streets after this season. I still think the Mets could make the playoffs with this bullpen. I don't know how long they will last though.

Mets have about as enough of a chance to make the playoff as the Yankees.

The Yankees are a mess right now. They just lost two out of three to a team that was out of it months ago and the Angels (who they NEVER beat) could very well put them out of their misery in the next two games. Amazing that the year Yankee Stadium closes is the year that they don't make the playoffs for the first time in 15 years. I'm not a big Yankees fan, but it would have been nice to close out the Stadium with October baseball. As it stands, The House That Ruth Built won't have a very glorious ending.
