Phil Hughes will be pitching tonight after being on the DL. He is wack. I hope he doesn't mess up.

You know...Phil Hughes is a good looking kid. He seems very intelligent when I have heard him speak. And relatively speaking, he makes a lot of money. Is that REALLY the best he could do for corrective eyewear fashion? The Kyle Farnsworth Collection?
I think the Yankees should work on making Hughes more of a finese pitcher. His fastball is too straight and not enough zip to get away with it but he has really good off speed stuff. I'd establish that and complient it with the fastball. Drop a few of those big yakkers in there and suddenly 91, 92 will look like 98.

I don't think Pudge will be back next year in pinstripes. Jorge Posada said he will be back next year as the main catcher, and he ain't playing 1st base.

Asked about the Yanks' trade-deadline acquisition of Ivan Rodriguez to replace him behind the plate, Posada told Kay, "Pudge, he's my friend, but he's going to have to go somewhere else."

Damon hit a 2 run HR in the bottom 8th.
4 to 1 Yankees in the bottom 8th.
Tell me how the same man from last night also caught a HR in the same spot tonight. He did a crazy dance last night too.
Arod hit his 35th HR in 11 straight season, and so he makes history.
5 to 1 Yankees in the bottom 8th.
