...you can still take the behind the scenes tour through October. Not sure if there are any tix left though. Keep checking if you are interested. I grabbed a ticket not long ago for a tour in about 2 weeks. Can't wait.

Took the yankee stadium tour today. Pretty surreal. Got to sit in the press box. Stood next to George S's box. Then they took us down into the clubhouse which was very cool. Saw Thurman Munson's locker which kind of gave me chills. Saw Jeter's locker (he has two sort of by accident because of all his fan mail!), etc. Then we got to sit in the dugout. Wow. I can't really even describe the feeling. From there we walked on the field out onto the warning track and into momument park, where i had been before, but it was still cool to see it again. It was really just amazing to be there one last time. I didn't even take pics because i just wanted to absorb it all through my own eyes and enjoy it in person. The guy giving the tours is pretty well known and he is like an encyclopedia of yankee stadium knowledge. Tony Morante. Very cool guy. Got to talk to him a little since the tours are not even 20 people. He's in high demand these days...

All together it's $25 Terry. Check the link for tickets. Check each day. It's probaby sold out though, maybe you can grab a single. But since you live close by i would bet they have walk up tix. The box office was open yesterday. Just get there about a 1/2 hour early, at least. There is a 12 pm and a 1 pm tour. Only go on a day they are giving the tour (you'll see the dates in the link). Also you might want to get bring an extra $20 to get the media guide. It's like the ulitmate encyclopedia on yankee history and it is normally only available to players and media. I really wanted to get it but i didn't.
