Doesn't look like more than a coating of snow this evening...if that.

If you're a snow-lover, you have to be disappointed but I can't say it was a bust. No one ever said this was a stone-cold lock. We all knew the caveats and potential spoilers. The mets were emphatic in their belief that this was a complex system and there were a lot of variables at work, most importantly, where that coastal low developed and its exact track.

Devils fan...
agree what are saying 100% however people kept saying "compex" to deny what was obvious since Sunday early morning - the models all went in one direction against a big snowstorm and what gets me is yesterday I quoted three respected mets Evans, Kasper and Allen and I was personally attacked ... I am over it but the mentality on this one was denying that everything since Sunday 5am has stunk about this non-event.... Maybe something tonight

It's just a disappointing storm to cap off a disappointing winter. This will probably be our last big snow opportunity which is why it hurts even more.

I still would not write off the winter - March can have huge snowstorms... winter is far from over - in my mind we have until St. Pat's Day to get a good storm...

Agree for the most part and the personal attacks aren't necessary. However, the models did waffle a bit Monday and Tuesday and started trending towards a more easterly solution, which suggested bigger snows...plus, the global models looked pretty good up until yesterday. Also, the models have been inept this year, so I think that gave people some false hope, thinking that they were wrong again and we'd end up with a lot of snow.

It has been a bust for most places, I agree. Albany doesn't look to be getting the 20-30 inches that they were supposed to get, it's sleeting over there right now. There was just too much warm air aloft with this storm and the duration is a huge problem. This won't even be a 24 hour storm and there were too many dry slots with it.

That I agree with...some stations were saying as much as 20" for Northwest Jersey, which made me scratch my head.
