The precip has been staying in same areas for awhile now. It is a very slow mover. I know this one isnt stalling. But what causes a storm to stall. I have heard that happens sometimes, specifically with clippers.

there is no way in hell an alberta clipper can stall, they area called that because they move real fast
a cold artic high daming cold air to your north while a storm comes up the coast, each fight for movement, the high south, the storm north, the resistance keeps the storm moving slow.
hey not sure if thats right but it sounded good lol
seriously alberta clippers can not stall they move very fast.hence why they are called clippers they clip along

something fast can stall. Think of a test dummy crash. The car is moving 50 miles per hour, then bam, lol. Maybe thats what happens with the clippers. I have heard of a clipper suddenly stalling once it hits the ocean.
