I've noticed the last 4 or 5 times at least that whenever I posted my snow totals I wind up seeing the EXACT same totals on the NOAA spotter reports for Hackettstown.  Doesn't that seem weird?  I don't report them to anybody, although I would like to eventually take the class.

Sat -- Surprised you only received 4".  I would of guessed I had more then that over by me, but with the wind and by the time I got home from plowing last night 11pm, it was hard to tell. I would of thought around 6 or so. Who knows though.

For some reason by around noon yesterday we had only had about 1/2" of snow and an inch of sleet.  To me the sleet just wasn't accumulating the way everyone said it was in other places.  Once it turned to snow early afternoon we had around 2.5 new inches.  To be honest it did look like we had more but that's what I came up with and I measured around 4 pm.

depended where you measured, my sidewalks and driveway had about 6 inches of sleet and snow but were my snowboards are had only 4, So in my total I went with the 4 inch amount.

I didn't trust my deck with all the wind.  I measured in the grass since I figured the ground was frozen solid.  Also I took probably 15 measurements all along the boundry of my complex (a big area).  It was a tough one but if anyone was to look around there is no way they would say it looked like anything less than 4 on the ground.  I'd rather be a little conservative than anything.

thats what I didnt use my sidewalk(never have but I still check it)  I figured alot of sleet blew off my yard onto the sidewalk.  But even areas without the boards had about 4, was actually really consistent in my yard
