If this clown gets into the HOF, then Pete Rose should be pardoned and be made eligible for the HOF. Interesting to note that Bonds back in '06, stated the following about Rose:

Reporters asked Bonds if he felt players who break baseball's rules should be allowed into Baseball's Hall of Fame. Bonds said league officials have the responsibility to uphold the honor and integrity of the Hall. He said the league was correct when they banned Pete Rose from the Hall. "Pete's a chump", said Bonds. "I don't care if he was steroid free when he broke Ty Cobb's record for hits. He gambled on baseball and that's inexcusable. To allow him into the Hall without a 'race card' just ain't gonna happen", said Bonds.

He was without any form of doubt a user. Thing is, he is not on trial for that. He is on trial about lying about knowing he was a user. With a good enough team of lawyers he has a good shot to beat this whole rap.

Doubt you will see an asterisk. I do think you will see him blackballed much the way McGwire has been. I don't know if that will stand long, however, given the amount of dirty players there have been.

I happened to be reading a book of lists the other day and came across a list of HR leaders. It was a couple of years old, so Bonds was still in 2nd place. It was horrible to see, however, his name and that of McGwire, Palmeiro and Sosa mixed with the likes of Aaron, Ruth, Mays, etc. Appalling
