You ever have one of those stretches of a few weeks that really sucks? In the last few weeks we have had several friends and family members in and out of the hospital, ranging from Cancer to phenomena.Who has had to put there dog down. Now tonight while we were having friends over for a v-day dinner I got a call that my aunt had a stroke, and she has passed.
Now tomorrow, I have to drive to south Jersey to tell my Grandmother (who is in the hospital) that her younger sister has died. And worse than that, she probably won't be able to make her sisters funeral. I guess when it rains it pours!

OK rant over

I'm sorry to hear that. Yeah, I've noticed that things of that nature do have a tendency to occur within ironic timing of each other. Stay strong.

Hang in there lab, sorry to hear about your aunt passing away. I went through a period like that back in 07, when l lost both my parents in a 4 month span. Unfortunately life can be cruel sometmes, but like anything else these bad times will pass.

Sorry to hear about all you've been through, Lab. But time marches ever forward in as it does the pain will ease.

Dufficult period lab. This one seems worse, with too many components, than normal. But don't ever lose optimism and don't ever forget the good things in life. That and faith are the key to getting through it. If you only look at the bad it'll get you depressed and lose your ability to fight.

Keep your chin up. Sorry to hear you going through a tough time. Life sometimes seems unfair, especially dealing with illness and a death. I'll say a little prayer for you and your family. Better days are coming.

How awful. Sorry to hear that you're going through so much. Deepest condolences to you and your family. Tough times are inevitable in life, but it's especially hard when things snowball like that. Hang in there, it'll get better. :(

No doubt Lab, life can really suck at times. I've had my share of tragedy and 2008 was the worst year ever for me. In the past year several people know have passed, heart attack, car crash, and just recently a long time friend who was diagnosed with esophageal cancer only 2 years ago. I've had a health scare myself, been to 19 or 20 doctors since last summer to try to figure out the problem. Luckily nothing serious and its resolving itself.

Sometimes it's difficult to keep faith, but it's the only thing that'll get you through the situation from my experience. I believe God brings good out of evil, even if it may not seem that way immediately after. I'll keep your family and friends in my prayers. Take care and stay well Bob.

I thought it might be getting too personal at first, but I edited it back in. I don't want to make this thread too depressing, Lol.

Thanks everyone!!!!!!! This is not a fun time, but not as bad as 1992-93. My wife lost both of her parents 6 months a part and in that 13 month span we had 11 funerals 9 family members and 2 friends.
As the saying goes, what doesnt kill us makes us stronger :(

Thanks again everyone!
