There have been sheets of ice flying all over the place on the highways the last 2 days.  Kind of dangerous.

Good point...it is very scary and unexpected to be driving along when the person in front of you has a huge sheet of ice fly of right in your face...

Not only cars but trucks as well, saw an incident yesterday on I-684 in which ice flew off an 18 wheeler & it barely missed the car that was behind him.

Excellent point, Satellite.  I got behind some idiot yesterday who didn't clean off his back window AT ALL!  It was completely covered with ice and snow.  Thank God it didn't fly off and hit anyone(at least not that I saw).  He should have been pulled over and given a stiff fine.

Yeah trucks have been especially bad.  I know it might be tough to get up there and basically clear all the entire roof of an 18-wheeler but somehow it should be done.  Technically you can be ticketed for not clearing the snow off your car.

Absolutely.  At the very least, it's an unsafe driving violation.  What about driving with an obstructed view?

Was on the BQE and was hit w/ a baseball-sized ice chunk while doing 40-50 MPH. Almost had a heart attack. Was tired and didn't expect it..thought i ran something over..
