Yikes!! She must have been terrified. I went up in a glider a few times when I was a kid. My parents belonged to a gliding club for a few years. She's lucky to be alive!

In Wurstboro, there is one of the biggest glider airports. They go out all year, although the past 2 weeks I have not seen any, I guess because of the extreme winds. 2 years ago, a man died right on Rock hill Drive when winds took his glider down. I do not think I would ever go up in one, his wreckage looked like broken up card board boxes.

Wow that was some read! Damn!
She was @ plane-lever height. Luckily she wasn't doing this in the US or she could have been hit with a plane. Geeze.
That must be crazy -- She was in the middle of a thunderstorm..........literally.

I wonder how she got so close to the thunderstorm in the first place. Don't they follow weather reports before going up there? Especially as they rely solely on the wind to keep them aloft.
