Hurricane Belle hits Long Ilsand as a CAT1

I was 6 at the time and remeber waiting for the storm.I had a hard time staying awake as it hit in the very early morning hours on the 10th.But from what I could remember was waking up a few times and hearing the windows rattling.was in and out of sleep for the storm so don't remember much.The next morning woke up to no power and trees downs.Im pretty sure we had the day off of school but not positive.
