Ya know...what he did was against the law and he should be punished. But how does this compare to Mike Vick. How does Vick actually serve less time for what he did?

There is simply no rhyme or reason to our criminal justice system.

Not just Vick...what about Donte Stallworth and Leonard Little?
You're only young once, but you have your whole life to be immature!

Plaxico Burress wants to resume his NFL career after he serves his 2 yr sentence, good luck with that. Goodell is probably going to suspend him for a year when he get's out of prison. On top of that, there is a good possibility of a league lockout in 2011. So he may not touch another football till 2012.

NFL lockout in 2011?

You just hit on THE way to equalize all things in our judicial system. For every penalty, every offense, add a degree of "stupidity" as a factor in length of the sentence. Much like degree of difficulty in gymnastics and in support of the principles of the Darwin Award which were

"Named in honor of Charles Darwin, the father of evolution, the Darwin Awards commemorate those who improve our gene pool by removing themselves from it."

For the unfortunate few that were unsuccessful at removing themselves from the gene pool and had the dumb luck of getting caught performing an illegal act they should get added time based upon the level of stupidity. Using Plax's case as the benchmark, I figure O.J. should have gotten about 273 years for stealing his memorabilia back (after getting away with the fact that the gloves were too small).
