I don't know what, if anything, can be done about this but this board has a huge amount of guests that don't register.

It came to my attention with my post "Some Levity..."  There are 159 hits on the thread but the maximum openings for any of the three cartoons is only 30.  This would imply that guests that hit the thread (guests cannot open attachments) outnumber the members at around 5 to 1.

I know that NY Brit posted a while ago for guests to join.

Just some thoughts...

I agree with your issue with guests not registering.  Guests should register, and shouldn't be afraid to post!  I think all would agree that we have a very friendly and welcoming community hear at NYC Metro Weather!

With regard to your post, the number 30 is only in reference to the people that chose to download your cartoon.  It doesn't have anything to do with guests.

Hi wx - Since guests cannot open attachments and the attachment(s) were only opened a max. of 30 times on 159 hits, I am assuming that most of those opening the thread are guests.  That is, the guest opens the thread, sees no attachments and closes out.

Perhaps there may be a few members that opened the thread and didn't open the attachments but I think most members would have; in order to see the cartoons.

If you look at the those on at any time, there are often more guests than members.

Anyway, it would be nice if more guests joined. They would have seen the funny cartoons! :D
