Did anyone see this news before the snowstorm? Absoluately pathetic. How does someone like this make it into the political spotlight? I hope and pray this isn't what the future holds.

As oppsed to reading a teleprompter?
Cheats cheats are fine as long as they are your cheat cheats?
Exactly what do we call marines these days?
Are they in the corps or are they dead?
I do think she would be terrible, just dont understand the hatred of that woman.

I don't understand why this is a problem, but the President of The United States can't say two words without a teleprompter and somehow that's OK. Anyone else see a double-standard here?

I just think its funny. Use a piece of paper or a teleprompter, I really have no problem with that (although it was an interview, and I don't think anyone uses a teleprompter for that). Writing notes on your hand is middle school stuff lol

yea i would def rather someone that uses ink on her hand than teleprompter. obama is a stumbling bumbling fool without it. noone in the political real (dems or reps) like palin. to me she might be the one you would look for if they are all trying to put her down. pathetic is pelosi and the whole US govt as it is run today. we need change it we will never get it as long as we keep taking sides.

It's funny; they keep saying they don't take Palin seriously, but they can't stop talking about her. If they were really so dismissive of the woman, why not just ignore her?

i think both sides(especially reps) a really frightened by her. the reps where the ones that really caused the smear campaign.

I'll be honest; I lean conservative on many issues but I would not be comfortable voting for her. I think she's a nice lady who can be charming but I don't know if she has what it takes to be President. That said, there has to be something to the fact that so many people like to pile on when something like this happens.

Palin is your typical neighborhood yuppie gossip queen. Pretty, cute smile, sweet and charming to your face. Underneath it all, she talks ill behind your back, criticizes and judges where she's got no business, and thinks she knows it all. Worst of all, now she feels she's qualified to run the country because an old man from Arizona got desperate and picked her as a running mate.
To those that criticize Obama's use of a teleprompter, you have a valid point. However, Obama recently held a televised meeting with GOP members of congress at their retreat in Maryland. No teleprompter or cheats on his hand. Just honest, unscripted dialogue.
How would Sara Palin look if she tried that with the opposing party?

I think that anyone calling a person a "cheat" for jotting down a few points to discuss during a speach clearly has no idea what they are talking about.
Gimme a break.
She's probably just as much of an idiot as Reagan was. Her political opponents are afraid of her because she speaks plainly to the principles that have made this country great. Anyone who speaks in such simple terms must be dumb right?
And now that Obama's main political agenda, health care, has woken up the public to his socialist agenda, he is suddenly a genious for consulting with republicans about what their ideas on health care are. Shouldnt he have dont that before his ratings and agenda tanked with the public? Instead he tried to rush through one of the most drastic grabs at our country's freedom that has ever been done, thinking he could do it because of his "filibuster proof" congress.

And I don't understand why it took him over a year to realize what a major problem unemployment is. All the while, he was trying to jam health care reform down everyone's throat but we were all scared !@#$less about losing our jobs.

Agreed; most of them are in the political game for power and influence, not to help the country.
