Unfortunately as a Mets fan...if I had to predict where they'll finish in the NL East and my life depended on the correct answer, I'd pick them to finish last.

I'm picking them to finish 2nd or 3rd.

You're nuts. They are the class of the NL. Something would really have to go wrong. You never know what the season brings though.

I agree with sat. Where are you putting the Mets Ant, 1st? I don't think so. I know David Wright worked on his swing during the offseason. Problem is Citi Field is a pitcher's ballpark; it's very spacious in the outfield and it's harder to get a ball in the stands. Maybe that's why he tinkered with and then subsequently screwed with his swing.

The pitching is a huge question mark. If Reyes stays healthy (and that's a big if), the Mets are pretty decent.

I'd definitely put the Phillies before the Mets (and not because I'm a Yankees fan biggrin.gif )

I just think they are going to have a team ERA around six. I believe they'll be okay offensively, but they will be losing a lot of high-scoring games. The Maine/Pelfrey/Perez trio will be their demise. Pelfrey could rebound and have a good season. Perez is a lost cause. He'd be gone if not for the idiotic contract. And Maine, I'm not sure the shoulder is or ever will be 100% again.
