Us Yankees fans don't have to worry about this. lol

We know if we want to go, we have to pay super high prices, or worry about not finding a seat to see our team play a competitive team.

who can afford to buy 80 games worth of tickets as a season holder?

I think going to a game is fun. They push those packages though. I wouldn't go to more than 1 or 2 games a year plus a few minor league games. I've said it all along though, all sports have priced out the everyday fan and it will keep coming around to bite them. These new stadiums are only 'new' for so long.

It's good if attendance drops. That is the only thing that will bring down ticket prices and possibly over priced ball player salaries.

Eventually this is what will cause MLB to contract, something badly needed for better competitive play. If MLB is down off of last year in a recovering economy and with great spring weather to boot, this may be the tip of the iceberg for it's inevitable downsizing. MLB needs one of two things, major downsizing or a $125mln salary cap, unless we want to get used to a lot of teams that win 40-60 games while the other side wins 100+.

Look at what happened with the Indians. They were getting record breaking crowds in the 90s and now with the team in it's losing ways the stadium is empty.

Sports have become a business outing with clients instead of a night out with the family. Hopefully these stadiums remind empty because the only way to stop this greed is don't come to the games. I know they still get the money from the TV outlets, but owners don't like seeing a stadium empty every night.
