Just goes to show that most people simply never change, no matter how many wake-up calls they get. I hope it isn't true, but his track record makes me wonder...and this is beyond the pale. Self-destructive behavior such as substance abuse is one thing. Rape? Good God. It's just horrifying to even imagine.

Much of the facts are not out yet on this. Sounds to me like this was an escort call gone bad. LT probably had no clue about her age, status, etc. I'd bet this goes away. This is no OJ case.

If anything, it was a poor choice of judgment on LT's part.

LT calls an escort service; girl shows up in his hotel room; they have sex; girl texts her uncle; LT gets arrested for rape. Although the law will heavily consider her age, that scenario has a lot of missing pieces and doesn't sound like rape in the sense of forcing someone. Yes, poor judgement by LT on several levels, but probably not rape.

Still a pretty terrible situation. You wonder if LT will ever clean up his act. He's had so many chances and at some point, he's going to run out of them.

She also presented herself as a 19 year old. The prosecution has no case but LT is further damaged regardless and in all honesty he should be damaged by this act.

It figures that Mike Francesa on WFAN would defend his boy LT, while ripping Roethlisberger a few weeks ago just for being in sleazy situations. Unreal.

Agreed; LT still looks like a lowlife, rape or no rape. He'd probably have sex with anyone that has a pulse, from the looks of this case. And it's not like he needs a prostitute to get a woman to sleep with him; he's Lawrence Taylor, for God's sake. Also, I have to question the mentality of anyone who'd marry this guy. I understand the lure of his money, but you've got to know what you're getting yourself into with him and his antics.
