Eastern's latest change subs and groups their topics by region (ie. northeast US, etc.). That in itself is ok. However, the downfall IMO was when they earlier sub categorized threads by specific location (ie. -- Eastern PA/NJ, NYC, New England, etc.), forcing you to go digging within those areas to find various topics which are easily buried and lost. That change also causes much duplication of posts as the same thing is posted in different area threads. It also makes it difficult to post topics that are relevant to multiple areas. By creating a regional and area sub-forum format, they essentially reduced themselves to a smaller board. They would have been better off organizing by topic rather than by region / area.
