I see one warning out in CNJ right now, nothing really looking that severe but there will be thunderstorms poping up throughout the day

That warning is south of me in Wall, which is a hotbed for the worst storms in Monmouth. We had a heavy t-shower here just now and it picked up the winds a lot when it hit. Seems to be deepening as it moves through with increasing lightning as it now moves SE of me. Rain was torrential. Not a big effect on temp though. It was 85 pre-storm and 80 now.

Again I was closer to the heart of that storm just a five minutes south of you. 0.20" of rain in about two minutes with a temp drop from 85 to 75. Wind gusted to almost 30mph. Nice crackling thunder as well; a couple CTG bolts.

I was at the northern edge of it so I didn't get that big downdraft. Just about 1-2 miles north of me and the rain probaby missed or was light. Still hearing thunder SE of me and even 1 or 2 rumbles to the SW making me wonder if something else is trying to form.

Didn't get a drop of rain here yet Ice. I can hear the thunder and the breeze is pretty strong though Looks like we may get into one of the heavier cells in the next few minutes, but thus far, everything had split around us to the N and S.
LongIslandWthr
Sky has darkened considerably with some thunder in the distance

My radar does not look too impressive, in terms of T'stms. Just a few sporadic here and there. Hopefully, a decent t'stm will make it through my area and cool me off a bit. Tomorrow is looking to be gorgeous.

Got a storm over me right now. Some good loud thunder in this one. No rain yet though. The sky is black out there.
NYBrit
Now here's the rain and it's torrential. Getting some good loud rumbles of thunder too.

Beautiful here, though very humid and a repeat of yesterday with booming thunder SSW of me. Take away the thunder though and based on the sky you'd never know a storm was nearby. What's odd is radar doesn't even show anything there so I wonder if we have instant development like yesterday.
LongIslandWthr
Still cloudy here, storms missed me to my north which I am surprised because I just washed the car! haha Doesn't look like anything too severe will develop today

Thunder SSW of me died. Never saw a cell on radar there but there were several booming thunderclaps in that direction. NNE of me toward Old Bridge there is a very nasty looking storm with loud thunder. Looks like here we may get hit by a storm that has rapidly developed west of us. What a Florida like 2 days here.

Seeing mammatus clouds develop at the far back end of this very impressive T-storm to my north. The storm is actually building southward. Anyone in the path of this thing - look out. Constant thunder from this cell and very loud with a dangerous looking sky.

I had .5" today from two seperate storms. Now a 1.50" two day total with more on the way in about an hour. Very Florida like indeed; tall thunder heads, sky high humidity, warm breezes. Again if I didn't have a calendar I'd think it was mid July with this weather. Memorial day through early/mid June can still feature 55-65 degree and foggy days.

I'm issuing a rainbow watch for the next two hours. Storms moving in NW-SE with sun approaching the horizon.

So far 0.80 today from two thunderstorms.

Just drove back to Queens from Garden City, and that cell that swiped Northern Queens & Nassau Counties had come impressive CTG lightning bolts..got clipped by a quick downpour on the LIE westbound, but all was dry at my house in Flushing. I want some rain to clean off my car.

A thunderstorm over me, but no big deal. the rain felt real good coming down though, very refreshing, as a cool breeze started to kick in. I guess the front is now passing by and clearing will take place. Back to my west, I saw clear skies with tiny fair weather clouds. Gorgeous scenery.
satellite_eyes
We got brushed a few times but for the most part they missed us for a change.

Storms came thru with thunder and lightning and a torrential downpour, .80" Much needed for the grass, it was starting to finally dry up after all that melted snow and rainy march. The water table was so high it took this long for the grass to start turning brown.
weatherbowl
I have not had any measurable rainfall either of the last two days.

1.60" two day total now and sprinklers are off for awhile.
icehater
1.25" the last 2 days with 5-6 hours of thunder from storms that hit or missed, towering thunderheads that made you feel like you were in Florida and even a mammatus cloud sighting. Also, though we had a ton of lightning never was it really a cloud to ground hit possibility. Also seeing a 53K foot storm right overhead in a pop up situation is really rare in May for this area.

Same here. Not much wind with the thunderstorms though. So far haven't had a really strong/serve one yet. The season is just getting started so who knows what may happen.
