Agreed; look at how long Robert Byrd was in the Senate. Hell, he ran against JFK in 1960 as a 3rd-party candidate. Frank Lautenberg has been a NJ senator since 1982. People blindly vote for the same folks over and over, regardless of their record. That's why the recent tea party movement is a good thing. Maybe people are paying more attention to the substance instead of the rhetoric.
