a real email from a relative dealing with verizon......

I just want to let everyone know that I have been in a battle with Verizon over my bill for the last year or more now.
I have what Verizon calls a package deal whereby I receive my phone, cellular, computer, and directv on the same bill.
Every month I have to call Verizon about charges that I have not authorized on my bill by a third party provider. It seems that anyone can charge a bill to a Verizon phone bill and if the Verizon customer is not vigilant enough will be getting billed for something they did not order.
I have had Verizon place numerous blocks to my account with no success as Verizon had promised it would stop the third party billing. The block seems to disappear each and every month. Some of my bills have been padded with excess of $35.00 per month.
So if anyone has one of these so called package deals or a Verizon bill in general I would urge them to look at the first page and the line that says OTHER PROVIDERS to see if there is a charge. If so then you better check to see if you in fact made that charge.

I deal with my companies telco billing across the country and it's not just Verizon that does this. All Telco companies will do this, Verizon. AT&T, Qwest (the worst). Any semi-legitimate billing company can post a charge to your phone bill. I have yet to get a satisfactory answer as to why they allow this, but we see this all the time. I have yet to pay any of them and most times the phone company will drop the charge. Good Luck.
