Vic, JB's snowfall projections were about as complicated to read as the forecast. He sees 4" for NYC but 6" or more just immediately to the north and west. Then 12"+ or more just to the north and west of there, then 18" just to the north and west of there (in different distances). The 18"+ snows will fall from the Poconos and northeast all the way to northern New England. He also says that from Philly on to the northeast this will be the heaviest snowfall of the season. Warns that there will be heavy backlash snows as well. Lastly, he mentions that more snows will hit these same areas next week.

Just going by his narrative, 6"+. Bear in mind he's including sleet as part of the number and this is a long duration event so there may be some back and forth periods with a "total" of that number. Not a pretty storm.

whewww thanks robbbbs i was so confused when i read his post, i am just worried looking at the 18z nam that these totals will get cut down but time will tell i guess, it still looks like a foot in my area so i truly cant complain, my heart goes out to our snowlovers right by the jersey coast

JB issued a video tonight and talked about 15" to 20" snow totals for northern NJ. Also mentioned Philly may be in the heavy snow amount zone. No further details.

Probably after, only Henry posts totals before a model run.

Not sure. BTW, have you seen the RUC snowfall map? 18"+ for a good part of northern NJ. Maybe he was looking at that. LOL.
