Just W and NW of the city though, it will be just cold enough for all snow and the precip. will come down at a ridiculously hard rate during the evening commute snow will fall at the rate of 2" or maybe even more for several hours this evening and early tonight in NW NJ, the lower Hudson Valley and interior western CT, so snow amounts over 12" in these areas is likely, see the map for more details on this.


HE THINKS 6 inches for the city

Heard Bill on teh radio 30 minutes ago, and yes NW of NYC will get it good, but the city he said 3-6 but he thinks it's the low end of that....3?, anyway he said the NWS yesterday said 9-17 in teh city....but now has it at 4-6, Bill said if the city got 17 he would give his house to the 300th caller on the radio...lol, his wife would leave him as fast as ch7  fired Steve B.

this is going to be a race of very heavy snow falling and how quick it changes over, the slower the changeover the faster it will pile up, this is a nowcast storm.
