In south Jersey pine barrens. Cool spot in the whole state is Berkeley Twp, down to 40 degrees, odd temp readings in Bergen County & urban NJ, that area is experiencing the warmest temps this evening.

The warmest temps seem to be were the most rain fell and some of the worst flooding. Any possible link? Just one of my dumb thoughts. LOL

Lab, made it down to only 38.3 (at 1:50 am) and now already up to 48.0. Not much radiational cooling usually up my way on the mountain.

Crap radiational cooling up here in Eldred too. My cousins house is @ 1246' so cold air sinks into the valleys surrounding the house.. :-[
Not that my cuz cares for one second, but I want to impale myself over it! LOL

My low last night in Queens was 42.2, these are the types of nights where my location gets lower than Robbbs location by morning..saw it several times before.

You can have the RC if  I can have some more elevation so I can have snow sleet! ;D

low here of 31.5

Low was 40.9 in Queens.

I have been in Sullivan Co since last night and @ around 2am, my cousin (who is an EMT) responded to a car accident in the area. I went along with him (it was a DUI), it was really cool to see how many people responded and what they did. I have much respect for EMT's and first responders. Anyway, this accident occured @ 1300' (you had to have known I was going to say something about radiational cooling, LOL). I was sitting in the car as they were helping the drunk-off-his-*** victim into the ambulance and the temp read 42. Right after the accident was cleared, we drove down to another response @ 700', and I saw the temp go from 42 to 37! It beeps when it drops in this car. It was really cool to see first hand how the cold air really sinks into the valleys & lower points & mountain peaks remain the warmer spots in the area. Not sure what the low was here but it's already in the lower 60's in Queens. Have a great day all.

Lab, much warmer here up on the mountain -- low of 44.7 this morning. Even Weathergeek had me be beat by 4 degrees in Queens.

I have all respect for the Fire/Emt's who are almost all volunteers here in Sullivan, but they do ALL show up for something.  About 10 years ago, my daughter, then one, got her head stuck in a fence on my upper deck, my husband was not home, I called 911, and we counted, 27 volunteers from fire to Emt showed were in my house within 8 minutes, to saw her out...LOL  The weather is great up here, currently 66 under almost completely blue skies.
