I just looked on AW website and they show temps back to the mid 60s and some 50s for the end or April to early May. What are the models showing for May so far? NYC hit a record high of 85. To bad there is a cold front coming in from the west that will drop our temps by 10 degrees each day and give us rain for like 3 days.

Let's not be greedy Terry. Three straight 80 degree days here in central NJ and 5 straight 70+ days (make that 6 counting tomorrow and I'm not ruling out 80 tomorrow just yet either) is a pretty strong run. Real warm summerlike night right now and when west winds kick back in along shore areas their temps may rise. I never forgot JFK once going from 67 to 82 (at night) in late april during the April heat waves of several years back that virgaman posted about. Wind kicked to west and temp jumped dramatically with most of that temp rise happening around 10pm.

May looks like it will be pretty warm after the first few days. This isn't summer yet so get used to mid 60's as that is still the norm. BTW 70's looks very possible again by Sunday but then we are in a battlezone between real warm air to the SW and a backdoor front. It can go either way thoiugh it's cutains for warmth in Boston.

West wind definitly our warmest wind in spring and summer. South right now and 60 degrees. We have had 3 straight days of 70s but have not hit 80 yet.

It's funny how a NW wind is our coldest in Winter and it's our warmest in Summer.

Still 70 degrees out right now.  Amazing it's just like summertime!  We hit 82.8 for a high today.

Weatherbowl, you, me and the rest of the coasties get screwed in the spring. My high was 79 and down to 64.3 now, feels chilly out. Reports of high 80's in NJ today.

We do get screwed in the spring but it could have been a lot worse. The 70s are pretty nice. The worst is when we get 50s and 60s and a strong south wind, when the inland areas are in the 70s and 80s.

LOL, thats what happens when we get temps in the 80s, especially temps we haven't seen for like 4 to 5 months. And after having the cold temps, I like this weather.

We are going to feel a big difference the rest of the week. Even today for me, it feels noticeably cooler.

What will Thursday & Friday be like? Will it just be cloudy and unsettled with on/off showers or will there be a period or two of steady rain?
Snowamp5
Todays high here in Rock Hill was 64, and very breezy, I was way underdressed today, thinking that I would be scorching like yesterday...LOL  But I still would take this over 90 plus days anytime.....Pool guy came to start the draining process to install my new liner.

I'm at 70 degrees here in Cornwall NY with clear skies for the past few days (wish it would stay that way) but nice weather for anything right now.

high here was 77.4 @ 3:55pm, now down to 73.0
Dew point way low @ 33 so temps will drop quick tonight before bumping up again as clouds roll in for tomorrows potential rain.
