NYC points north are subject to these storms, looks like Central NJ will miss these storms to the north.
I hope it misses NYC and LI, I have to help coach my sisters softball game in 1 hour @ cunningham park.
Edit: SF188 your right, storms will probably die to showers as they advance, I have an east wind now. Maritime layer will kill any t-storm development.

Heavy batch of monsoon-like rains headed due east. Looks like NYC points north will get the heaviest rain. Central NJ still looks to escape the brunt.

Strong storms with vivid CTG lightning passed just south of me. Plenty of action here and north of me as well but the most serious lightning - and some of it was damm serious - was about 2-5 miles south of me. Brief torrential rains but just brief. Didn't look out at the time as I was putting my daughter to sleeo but it sounded briefly like we had some hail. Off and on lesser thunder since the big episode around 9:30.
