I heard hail hitting the window. I went down to check and I didn't actually see any but it slackened off already.

Sat--heavy rain right on your doorstep in warren county. Pouring along the delaware water gap so heads up.
http://www.intellicast.com/IcastPage/LoadP...mp;prodnav=noneStorms have weakened as they made their way across PA due to the setting sun, decreased instability also due to cool maritime layer here from south wind, but thunder and CTC lightning cannot be ruled out tonight for all areas, especially away from the shores.

Getting some rumbles here now as well - but radar did not look that threatening for area. Had enough of the rain for a bit here though. It would be nice if we could get the ightning without the rain

Just had a rumble of thunder here on SI too.
So far had two rumbles of thunder but the lightning is flashing fairly frequently. All over the sky. I guess the storm isn't that close though because I am not hearing much thunder. It started to rain too but only moderately so far.

We've had some nice lighting -- a lot of it reddish in color -- for the past 20 minutes. Had a heavy downpour for about 5 minutes and now it's just drizzling. Thunder and lightning have become less frequent.

This is quite a potent storm coming through. A lot of lightning now. Every few seconds there is a flash. Thunder is more frequent now too and louder.

Nick Gregory just mentioned that storm, it was almost severe moving through Staten Island and Monmouth County.
Loud booming long lasting thunder & lightning here in Queens now; raining lightly atm. Temp down to 55.7, but dew point has jumped up to 47.2
Just had a real vivid flash of lightning; with loud thunder again. Interesting night ahead.

Interesting was right! I have no idea how long the storms went on for but there were at least 2 or 3 storms came through one after the other. It all started around 10 and went on until at least 12 30. I managed to fall asleep around then. Some very intense lightning.
