Temp was 50.7 @ 12am, winds were out of the south and dew point was hovering around 40/41 degrees.
At 1am, temp skyrocketted from 50.7 up to 56.2 currently (1:22am), winds switched around from the south at 0 MPH to the NE at 5 MPH and dew point crashed through the roof, from 41 earlier down to 27 within literally 30 minutes.
What happened was instead of the southerly influence of air, the high pressure to our NW just took control over our weather, just within the last 20 minutes!
Temps bumped up as winds kicked up, stopping radiational cooling & actually sending that warm air that escaped into the atmpsphere earlier back down to the surface. The high is to our NW so we are getting a NE'asterly breeze. Dew point crashed because we are now getting an air flow out of the dry NE instead of the moist south (ocean influence) and humidity has really dropped, down to 36% @ 1:30am from 68% @ 1:19am!!!! That's literally 1/2 the humidity cut off from 10 minutes ago!
Now @ 1:31am, winds have slowed to 0-1 MPH and temp is beginning to drop again, down to 55.9
This is so cool to watch & to be able to piece together what is happening.
