I will try to leave you with some good news as I break from all this until tonight -- JB's latest update still says a foot of snow for all the I-95 cities, with some mixing, but still a big snow event. Also says that areas along and just north of I-80 may have 30:1 ratios (Rgwp96 are you reading this?). DT's latest update also calls for 6" to 12" of snow to rain and back to snow for Long Island and NY Metro, and sees 12"+ not far north of NYC. On that, I will see you all later.

Robbbs - Someone on Eastern posted this summary of the GFS Ensembles. I have a feeling DT and JB are paying a lot of attention to these.
http://www.easternuswx.com/bb/index.php?showtopic=125238This begs the question of would you rather be sitting in a favorable ensemble position or a favorable ops run position. Either way I think you have to be nervous seeing something like this. The lGFS ops run is the most sophisticated run but in following DT over the years there are several Ensemble members that he uses sometimes even when the Ops run says otherwise.
Next Nam is crucial. If it comes SE it confirms we are still in the game.

is the 18z nam similar to the 18z gfs in that it's not as reliable as the 0z and 12z runs? or is this run going to be real important?
