Full Version: JB 6:00pm Update

robbbs
JB gave a rambling post where, among other things, he mentions that the big I-95 cities will be the battleground for rain/snow, expects a change from snow to rain and back to snow on the coast (back to snow earlier than the models show), a severe icing storm in the interior (this is a new opinion from him), and heavy snow just north of the icing event zone. Now in JB-speak, this is a definite step-down from earlier today when he mentioned that the I-95 cities would have a foot of snow with mixing issues. He does not give any specific details on exactly where the all snow zone will be, nor does he throw out numbers. This tells me that he's largely as clueless as the rest of us as to what will happen until later model runs come in. Still, I sense a realization from him that this will not be the big blizzard he talked about for the big cities earlier (remember -- "a shut down storm for days"?). It's a back pedal and step-back IMO, without admitting it and conceding anything yet.

Thanks for the update from JB...not sure what to make of it...I guess tomorrow we will know for sure. :-

JB has no clue what's going to happen like the rest of us. Sounds like he's just speculating about the potentials; throwing many "IF's" and "Maybe's" out into the open. He'll probably wait through 00z data tonight before making any definitive statements on this storm.

I take this as a bad sign for things to come.  Hes doing a slow back pedal, next thing he will do is shift all zones again to the west, unless of course the 0z runs move ot to the east again ;D
