This is the response I got after I sent an e-mail to the weather department(Kurt Aaron WNEP TV) After I complained too him about his forcast

I asume when you write "met" you mean Meteorologist ?  Yes I am and I would be happy to discuss model data with you anytime.  Here's my number 207-2484.  My favorite weather model is the GFS, I lean on that more than any other model.  I'm not sure what you mean by read the weather.  We don't read anything on t.v. each meteorologist makes his or her own forecast based on model data.  Call me and I'll be happy to explain it to you.  As far as going nuts over a huge winter storm. why?  More auto accidents,  people (power crews, penndot, boro workers, police, ambulance and so on) working lots of extra hours.  Some people may lose power and heat for their homes.  Can you imagine not having heat for days in this brutal weather!  I've interviewed many people who've gone through it and it's not fun.  My wife (of 20 years) was hit by a person who didn't know how to drive in the snow.  They smashed right into the back of her car.  I've been in accidents when people don't know how to slow down when it's snowing.  Nuts?  Are you kidding me? No Jim, I have nothing against getting snow but i don't want a major winter storm.  To many headaches for people that have to clean up.  My seventeen year-old son has the same opinion as you, he hopes this storm dumps tons of snow on us.  I understand why he feels this way because he doesn't have nearly as many responsibilities in life as his parents.   I guarantee when he gets older his view on "getting dumped on" will change.  Mine did.
